Methods To Recover Lost Contacts From iPhone

Here is an email I received :"Yesterday I found the newly added contacts disappeared from my iPhone, these contacts were some of my new customer’s.i must get the lost contacts back otherwise I will get into trouble.however the contacts lost before i backup them. I could not restore iPhone contacts from backup.I was anxious to know is it possible to recover lost contacts from iPhone without backup."

Apparently, this user needs to recover his lost contacts from iPhone but he did not have any iTunes or iCloud backup. That's OK. Even though he had no backup, he could access and recover lost contacts from his iPhone directly. Usually, when you lose some data from your iPhone or iPad, you can recover them from your iOS device directly. If you have an iTunes or iCloud backup for those data, you can also extract them from backup. So, here, I want to show you three methods to recover lost contacts from iPhone.

Generally, there are two common methods to restore the lost contact on iPhone
iCloud: which is the most preferred and popular method today
iTunes: an old method which still many people use
iFonebox : a professional data recovery tool designed to recover the lost/deleted data from iPhone. It also supports to extract and restore data from iTunes or iCloud backup if you have one. Now, you can transfer recovered contacts and notes back to your iDevice directly
How to restore lost iPhone contacts via iCloud backup
First make sure you have enabled iCloud Contacts sync. To check if this is true:
•     Login to https://icloud.com with your Apple ID and password
•     Click on Contacts
•     Search your contacts to check if the lost contact (from your iPhone) is here
If yes, you can now restore that lost contact easily.
Step 1: Go to Settings -> iCloud on your iPhone, and turn off Contacts
Step 2: When the popup message comes up, press ‘Keep on My iPhone’
Step 3: Now, turn ON the contacts and click “Merge”; wait for a while
Step 4: After sometime, you should see the lost contact back on your iPhone. In case this doesn’t work, all you do is delete your iCloud account (but keep all data) Then add your iCloud account again, and still choose “merge” when prompted.
How to restore iPhone contacts via iTunes backup?
I f you backed up your iPhone with iTunes in a very recent time, you’re in luck. Restore lost contacts on your iPhone, all you do is:

How to use Wi-Fi calling on iPhone 5C/ 5S/ 6/ 6 plus with iOS 8

Wi-Fi calling is a new feature of iOS 8 that's available initially to T-Mobile customers in the United States and EE customers in the U.K. What's more, it's coming to other carriers in the coming months. It lets your iPhone make and receive calls using Wi-Fi instead of depending on your carrier's cell tower coverage.

Here's how it works.

Wi-Fi calling depends on a technology alternately called Unlicensed Mobile Access (UMA) or Generic Access Network (GAN), depending on which technical paper you're reading. The technology enables your iPhone to make and receive phone calls using a regular Wi-Fi network.
