Apple has finally ceased signing iOS 7.1.2 on friday, which means that it is no longer possible to downgrade from iOS 8 once you have installed the update. If you’re still unsure about iOS 8 and have yet to pull the trigger, be aware that there’s now no turning back once you do.
With Apple no longer performing iOS 7.1.2 code signing, users who previously upgraded to the latest iOS 8 version can no longer revert to the last-generation OS.
Note: The iOS 7.1.2 update will remain available for iPhone 4 and original iPad users as the two old devices are unable to upgrade to iOS 8.
