iMessage is Apple's built-in instant messaging service that lets you send messages back and forth with any imessage user on iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or a Mac running Mountain Lion or later. Not only can you send text, photo, and video messages with iMessage, but voice memos, links attached, and locations, as well. Compared with common text messages like SMS or MMS, iMessages has its unique advantages over the two common texting methods.
